Art Curriculum Class V

CERAMICS: Students learn the fundamentals of working in clay using hand-building and glazing techniques to make functional and sculptural objects.

PHOTOGRAPHY: Students are introduced to technique and self-expression in photography, creating images with light. Students learn to operate manual 35mm film cameras, develop film, and create gelatin-silver prints in the black-and-white darkroom.

WOODWORKING: Students are introduced to basic joinery and the proper use of woodworking tools, leading to the design and completion of small-scale utilitarian projects.
