Modern Languages Class VII
BEGINNING FRENCH: the beginning of an integrated French curriculum that continues through the Upper School; elementary grammar and vocabulary; oral and written exercises; poems and role playing.
FRENCH: for those continuing from Class VI, further development of oral and grammatical skills through discussion, storytelling, reading, writing, role playing, and oral presentations.
MANDARIN: further development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing; reinforcement of character writing; reading of simplified stories; regular journal entries; oral presentations and multimedia projects.
SPANISH: further development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing, expansion of vocabulary, and continued study of grammar. Students read short stories and a full-length short novel at the end of the year.
