Michelle Heyl

Michelle Heyl joined the Brearley community in the fall of 2018 as a field hockey and lacrosse coach, and in the summer of 2019 she extended her commitment to the Brearley community by joining the Athletics Department. Aside from her work within the department, Ms. Heyl has served as a Class VII advisor and club and affinity space supervisor. Ms. Heyl really enjoys seeing the multifaceted aspects of a Brearley student and is committed to supporting students' interests and growth. When the academic day is finished, if Ms. Heyl is not coaching you can easily find her at a Brearley sporting event watching students develop as athletes. Involved in sports from a very young age, Ms. Heyl has a deep appreciation for empowering young women through sports and utilizing sports to learn more about oneself, work with others and create positive change. 

Prior to joining Brearley, Ms. Heyl worked for Nike as well as within boutique fitness in New York City. Originally from Maryland, she worked as a public school teacher and coached field hockey, lacrosse and indoor track before relocating.
