Stephanie Wright

Before joining Brearley, Stephanie Wright was the inaugural Director of Programs at Rainier Scholars - Tacoma, a college access organization modeled on Prep for Prep. Dr. Wright spent over a decade in independent schools in the Seattle area. At Lakeside School, she served as a faculty member, head of the History Department, and advisor. After Lakeside, Dr. Wright was the Upper Division Head at the Evergreen School, a pre-k–8th grade school. Dr. Wright began her teaching career as a high school social studies teacher and has taught all ages, from middle schoolers to graduate students. Dr. Wright has a Ph.D. in African American and Women’s History from Rutgers University and is an alumna of Spelman College.
